Lasse Richter Petersen

Director of the Board

Lasse Richter Petersen (Danish born 1964) joined Pila Pharma in 2024 as  Director of the Board  due to his extensive background within global strategy development as well as organisational design, restructuring and managerial experience in the pharmaceutical business.

Lasse graduated in 1989 as M.Sc. within Business Administration, Strategy and Organizational Development from the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.

During more than 30 years in various leadership positions within the pharmaceutical industry,  Lasse has gained a unique understanding of global pharmaceutical businesses and markets. Lasse started his career with Lilly in 1989, where he has held various positions of growing responsibility including Managing Director Norway 1999-2004 and European Marketing Director Oncology 2004-2008. He joined Sanofi in 2008 as General Manager for the Danish affiliate and later held positions as General Manager for Nordics & Baltics 2012-2015, VP and Regional Head CEE 2015-2018 and VP Global Commercial Excellence General Medicine Division 2018-2021. During his tenure with Sanofi, he was in charge of launching several new drugs in the Diabetes and Cardiovascular markets. As VP Global Commercial Excellence he was leading the performance management of a 15B€ business and providing leadership to the strategic planning process for the division.

In 2021, Lasse  joined Ventac Partners, a Venture Catalyst in Life Science building new breakthrough companies through spin-outs as well as providing strategic and financial support to Life Science companies. Besides, he currently serves as the co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Cenexum Technologies, Denmark, a University spin-out and Ventac portfolio company focusing on bioelectronics.

Lasse Richter Petersen has previously held positions as  Director of the Board  in Knowledge Gate Group, Denmark and served as vice-Chairman in Dansk Lægemiddelinformation, Denmark.
